Announcing Hats Off Day 2018 Parade Award Winners

Burnaby, B.C. — The Heights Merchants Association presented trophies to the winners of its 2018 Hats Off Day parade. Every year, the Hats Off Day parade showcases our community’s diversity and talent.

“The Hats Off Day parade has been a tradition of the Burnaby Heights community since 1989,” says Isabel Kolic the HMA’s executive director. “Ever since the committee introduced the festival theme for each Hats Off Day, it created enthusiasm and variation to the parade year after year.”

Parade entries are judged by three judges along the parade route. Awards are presented to honour parade participants who excelled in specific categories such as, Best Overall Entry, Best Engagement, Best Parade Theme, Most Creative, and Best Merchant Entry.

The 2018 Hats Off Day parade award ceremony took place at G&F Financial Group on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. See the list of winners and their category below.
