BURNABY, British Columbia – February 10, 2025 – It’s time to put on your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie! Hats Off Day returns to Burnaby Heights on Saturday, June 7, 2025, with an exciting theme: “Disco Fever.” Hastings Street will transform into a 1970s party as Burnaby Heights businesses and community members come together with music, costumes, and community fun. Applications for Burnaby non-profits, entertainers and vintage car collectors are now open on the official Hats Off Day website at www.hatsoffday.com.
Whether it’s a parade float dripping in disco balls, a booth that channels Saturday Night Fever, or a groovy performance, participants are encouraged to embrace the music, fashion, and vibrant energy of the disco era.
As one of Burnaby’s most beloved festivals, Hats Off Day gives Burnaby Heights businesses a chance to “take their hats off” to the community while welcoming visitors to experience the neighbourhood’s charm. “This year’s ‘Disco Fever’ theme is all about dancing, community, and having a great time,” said Isabel Kolic, executive director of the Heights Merchants Association. “We can’t wait to see how everyone gets into the groove with their costumes, music, and creative spirit.”
Hats Off Day is brought to life by the Heights Merchants Association, Burnaby Heights businesses, local community groups, and the City of Burnaby, along with a host of generous sponsors.
