Firas Najim is a master stylist and owner of KromaTik Hair and Makeup studio. He has been styling and cutting hair for more than 20 years. Being a son of a barber, he began cutting hair and helping around his dad’s shop at the young age of fourteen. This allowed him to gain valuable experience in the industry.

Besides being passionate about hair, Firas also values being environmentally conscious which is why KromaTik uses certified organic, plant-based and ammonia-free products.  When we asked why he decided to contribute to a greener environment, he responded with “I’ve always felt that my clients should get the best product.”

The salon has been a part of the Heights since October 2013. “I love the sense of community in this neighbourhood,” Firas replied when asked why he chose Burnaby Heights to open his business. He and his family also live close by and often see many of his clients around.

Firas also runs the business alongside his wife, Nihad, who is a makeup artist.  Together, they provide hair and makeup services on-location for a wide array of occasions. The power couple are both equally passionate about their craft and love what they do. In his spare time, Firas enjoys spending time with his family and giving back to the community.
