Hats Off Day
Held on the first Saturday of every June, Hats Off Day is when Heights merchants “take their hats off” to their community and their customers, and the entire Heights community celebrates together. It’s a huge, one-day extravaganza featuring a colourful main-street style parade with real local flavor, followed by a big street party.
Join us on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. and see why Hats Off Day has been voted “Burnaby’s Best Festival” by Burnaby Now readers every year since 2005! Hastings Street between Boundary Road and Gamma Avenue is shut down, and our streets are packed with families, friends, neighbours, and merchants!
The parade will start at 9 a.m. and run along Hastings Street from Beta Avenue to Boundary Road. Then the street festival will kick off at 11 a.m. with lots of music, food, kids activities and more on Hastings Street from Boundary Road to Gamma Avenue.
Parking restrictions will be in effect on Hats Off Day. For a detailed list, please click here.
Please note that vendors besides our Heights merchants are not eligible to participate. This is due to the fact that Hats Off Day is a day for Heights merchants to acknowledge and appreciate their customers and the community. We thank you for your understanding.
