Halloween belongs in the neighbourhood, and this is very true on the Heights. Halloween on the Heights is the true folkloric event that is meant to be – safe, fun and a celebration of a good spooking!
Trick-or-treat on Hastings Street
We invite you and your family to dress up and trick-or-treat with our merchants on Wednesday, October 31. From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., take your children to visit participating neighbourhood merchants along Hastings Street to receive some yummy treats. Look out for Halloween on the Heights decals displayed on their windows.

Halloween Fireworks Show:
On Wednesday, October 31, 8:15 to 8:30 p.m. head to Gilmore Community School to end your trick-or-treating night with a spectacular fireworks display.
– FREE PROFESSIONAL SHOW sponsored by the Gilmore Community School Council.
– The show will be cancelled in heavy rain.
– Sponsors for this event are not responsible for the personal safety of participants.
– For safety reasons, children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pumpkin Parade:
On Thursday, November 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (rain or shine) head to Confederation Park (Albert & Willingdon) and bring your Halloween jack-o-lantern for everyone to enjoy. Line it up on the walking path in front of Eileen Dailly to join the parade of pumpkins. Warm drinks will be provided. Pumpkins will be composted following the event by the City of Burnaby.
The Miniature Railway, Burnaby Central Railway at Confederation Park is closed this year due to construction.
