Every man needs a barber, where one can get a great haircut, and have a good conversation at the same time.

Huseyin Sulayman is the owner and barber at Alfredo’s Barber Shop, and has been cutting hair for more than 17 years. Originally from Iraq, Huseyin grew up helping at a barber shop at the young age of six. Being exposed to the craft of the hair cut at such an early age explains the large client base he has.

Huseyin explained that each barber has their own distinct skills and experiences. Choosing the right barber for you is as important as choosing your tailor. The unique thing about Alfredo’s Barber Shop is that Huseyin started cutting hair in Iraq and Turkey, which has given him a different perspective on cutting hair. What makes Alfredo’s Barber Shop distinct is that Huseyin makes it a priority to build a solid and personal relationship with each client. And this is possible in a special community like the Heights.

Before moving to the Heights, Huseyin had little knowledge of the neighborhood, and chose to move here simply because it was close to his shop. After settling down in the area, he’s come to love it. He particularly appreciates how organized and well kept the streets are, and how the businesses in the community help each other out.

When he’s not cutting hair, Huseyin enjoys spending time with his family, and going to Confederation Park with them to have picnics.

First impressions are important, so next time you need a haircut, head over to Alfredo’s Barber Shop to make sure you look as good as you feel, and feel as good as you look.
