Light up the Heights makes the season bright
‘Tis the season for shopping and celebrating and there’s no better place to do so than on the bustling sidewalks of the Heights.

To kick-off the festive season, the Heights Merchants Association hosted a community Tree Lighting Ceremony at Heights Fountain Square (Hastings & MacDonald) on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Our community came together under a beautifully lit tree to enjoy music, warm drinks, sweet treats, kids activities, and a visit from some special guests! Also, Fair in the Square, a festive holiday market featuring Heights merchants returned, meaning holiday shopping was just a little bit easier this year! Participating merchants included: Big Dog Little Dog Bakery, Brown's Books, 4Cats Art Studio, Plush Floral Studio, Valley Bakery and Vancity.

Light up the Heights took to the streets with strolling carolers and surprise visits from Santa from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the two Saturdays leading up to Christmas (Dec. 10 & 17).

Many thanks to our generous sponsors for 'decorating' the Heights with their contributions:
