Each year the Heights glistens when the trees along Hastings Street are adorned with lights supplied by the City of Burnaby. Residents and visitors alike are delighted with the beautiful display and the warmth of the Heights neighbourhood.
On Saturday, Dec. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Burnaby Fire Hall No. 5, the HMA hosted a party celebrating the tree lights, the winter season and Christmas. About 200 kids, parents and local folks braved the snow and came for the sweet treats, music, prizes and a visit from Santa!
This free event is a tribute to our community, as well as a Thank You to the City of Burnaby for the beautiful lights on Hastings Street. All proceeds from Valley Bakery's annual Ginger Bread House draw go to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau.
From Dec. 1 to 31, the Heights Merchants Association will be distributing a holiday savings calendar for the month of December. The calendar features special holiday deals and discounts from different Heights merchants for each day of the December.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors:
From everyone at the HMA, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season.
