Merchant Opportunities - Customer Feedback
Based on a 2005 customer survey, we have learned that customers of the Heights Business District are asking for the following categories of retail outlets in this area:
- Clothing stores, especially women's
- Electronic stores
- Ethnic restaurants
- Organic produce and grocery
Other business categories that are under-represented in the Heights and provide an opportunity for an enterprise are:
- Performance or cultural facility which could serve as a meeting/conference centre
- Niche boutiques of giftware and novelty items
- Music and video retail outlet
- Photography and photo finishing
- Bicycle retail and repair
- House ware and home decorating merchandise
- Stationery, gift cards and related specialties
- Live music entertainment at new or existing cafes and restaurants
