Business partners Samson Chang and Cam Gilbert have
been bug-free and running smoothly on the Heights for 13 years.
Prior to opening Globalnet-Work Computer & Security
Systems Ltd., Samson worked in the IT industry for ten years. He decided to
open his own business at a time when the industry was booming. He appreciates
that the business is always changing and that there are new challenges all the time.
This ultimately results in unlimited learning and experience. As Aaron Yuen, a
consultant at Globalnet-Work stated, “there are no boundaries.”
It is this attitude that has allowed Globalnet-Work to
continue to offer unique and progressive services. Although there are occasional
walk-ins at their retail store, their main focus is on corporate clients, with
an emphasis on small and medium businesses. They believe in proactive
maintenance of IT equipment. Samson says that Globalnet-Work “can ultimately
become a small business’ IT department, which helps them reduce IT costs,
giving organizations better value.” In addition, Globalnet-Work has virtual
CIO’s, or chief information officers, who offer consulting and project
management services. As well as satisfying your computer needs, Globalnet-Work
also offers residential security services.
The team at Globalnet-Work enjoys the Heights because
it is a small business community and because the location is very accessible. Aaron
loves the strong
sense of community and the fact that people here are very
friendly. Samson also loves the events and that everything he needs is within
walking distance. And although both Samson and Aaron do not live on the
Heights, both shop here in their spare time.
When he’s not working, Samson enjoys spending time with
family, playing sports and keeping in shape, reading, and coaching his
children’s softball and hockey teams. Aaron, who is very outgoing, enjoys
things such as shopping and taking his dogs out for a walk.
