Ryan at his expansive showroom, which only showcases some of what he has to offer.
Living
beautifully made simple.
Ryan
Barichello’s passion for furniture and design may have led him down many paths,
but it ultimately brought him back home.
Although
only opened Furnitura Interiors in March 2008, his experience and interest in
the industry is quite extensive. Though Ryan’s father, one of the founders of
Stylus, introduced him to the industry, Ryan had aspirations of opening his own
business. More rewarding to him than working for someone else, Ryan ran
Furnitura under the M.G. Design moniker, near the Burnaby Home Depot, for five years before
relocating to the Heights.
Filled
with high quality contemporary furnishings, the showroom is expansive in its offerings.
However, there’s more than what meets the eye. Much of Ryan’s time is spent on
custom order work for other businesses. Whether it be furniture or upholstery,
he can do it all. Under the commercial side of his business, he is responsible
for all the seating for large national businesses such as Sterling, Joneve, Gia
and Freedman Shoes, to name a few.
Living
close to and still shopping on the Heights, Ryan says he appreciates the area
not only because “he grew up here and because his family and friends are here,
but also because it is nice and clean and that the people are wonderful.” When
deciding where to open his business, he knew he wanted to stay within Burnaby.
Ryan had a strong vision for his business and decided on his current location
when it was still just a blue print.
And
just like the Heights, his business is unique, and unlike anything else when it
comes to what he has to offer.
When
he’s not busy with work, Ryan enjoys going to the beach and gym, fishing,
playing and watching hockey, and working on his car.
