The Heights is on its mark and ready to welcome the return of the Giro di Burnaby!
Only six days away, the Giro will again be featuring fun activities for visitors to engage in beyond the spectatorship of the prominent men’s and women’s races. This year, HUB – a local group passionate about cycling – will be joining in on the festivities and will run a bike rodeo on Hastings and MacDonald, so be sure to come with your children and bikes! Kids will get to learn safe riding techniques and answer questions about riding in traffic. A bike decorating station, pumps, and tools for styling up and tuning up your bike can all be found at Heights Fountain Square at MacDonald Avenue.
HUB will also have a booth where you can pick up the latest bike maps and meet local advocates, who will be attending the event as well. Get the latest scoop on cycling in our community, discuss about bike routes, and let them know what you think about biking in Burnaby. They’re always working to help make your cycling experience a better one and would love to hear what you have to say.
We’ll see you on Thursday, July 12!
