Hats Off Day Volunteers Required!
Hats Off Day, Burnaby’s biggest outdoor festival and family event, needs YOU!
Able-bodied adult volunteers are needed for Barricade Duty on Hats Off Day for four and a half hour shifts. The job is to provide traffic control support to keep the festival area safe for the tens of thousands of visitors who come to Hastings Street, between Gamma Avenue and Boundary Road, on Hats Off Day. This is a high profile position that lends itself well to those who enjoy working with and helping people.
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 2012
Times: Early Shift – 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and/or Late Shift – 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Bring a friend to stand with you and share the duties.
Bring your family and stay all day. You can also invite your work place volunteer team to come out for the day or for a shift. There is a parade, food, entertainment, and tons of interesting things to see and do.
